Up for sale is a B&L Discoverer Zoom Telescope. 15-60x60mm. It has some dings in the outside but lenses are scratch free. Has extendable sunshade and lens caps front and back. Ocular lens cap is a little loose when installed. It needs to be in just the right spot to stay on. No issues with objective cap.
Not a light weight by any means. I’d estimate 3#. Would be a very good bench scope.

Cool scope. For 15+ years I carried a B&L Discoverer 7x42 bino around the world and never felt like I didn't have what I needed for hunting, birding, star gazing or field work. Bomb-proof optics.

Is there any way to mount this in a tripod or is it meant to be handheld?

Yes. There is about a 1”x1” square on the bottom with a 1/4”-20 threaded hole. I believe this to be a standard size for tripods.
If you look closely in picture #5, it’s actually sitting on the mount.

Two more questions. The loose ocular lense - could it easily be taped in place? Second, how's eye relief? Decently forgiving? I'm looking for an el cheapo spotting scope for canyon shooting and spotting impacts on rocks.

#1) I believe a small piece of tape would definitely solve the issue.
