My current trimmer bit the dust so I'm looking for some good options.

What do you guys recommend?

Doesn't this depend a bit on what kind of beard we are talking about?

I use a regular hair clipper or scissors.

I feel like I'm treading on thin ice here. In before the hipster jokes..........

I looked at the Brio and also the Wahl, both looked good.

Have been using a Wahl Li-on for many years. Just starting to wear the battery out and at the time, it was one of the first quality (battery wise) rechargeables. Don’t know about the current product, but will soon find out. It has been a winner. My beard predates modern hipsters.

I use a Norelco OneBlade for trimming short and a Wahl when I leave it longer.

I was recommended this by a cosmetology friend and am much happier with it than anything else I've had - Wahl, Philips Norelco, Remington etc. This one puts them to shame if you can deal with the cord. The lithium one she uses was like $300.

The fact that it's throw away price is an added bonus. I've used mine for a couple years now with no issues but I'd gladly pay 4x this price.
