I'm looking for a next best for my 30 nosler, need to get my build moving. I'm leaning towards the 205gr or the 200.20x. I just have terrible timing 🤦🏻‍♂️as soon as I started this the supply went bonkers

Hammers, or DVOR has 30 cal Hornady stuff pretty frequently. I’ve seen the 212 ELDX’s on there.

Berger 200.20x is supposed to be just a slightly shorter and 15gr lighter version of their 215's so those 200.20's could be a good choice and they're currently available at a variety of places.

The Hornady 208gr ELD-M is the old 208 A-max just with their new heat shield tip and those 208 Amax were a popular choice and performed well.

I have a new Tikka 300 WSM I bought back in Dec. and those are the two bullets I plan to work up loads for first.

Only killed one small bull with the 200.20x but it performed perfectly for me. 330yards and the bull only took two shuffle steps backwards and fell over dead. Load development was easy and they shoot lights out in my 300wm. The 208 eldm is doing awesome in my buddies 300wm but we don’t have any kills with it yet. Both bullets have been relatively easy to pick up.

The 208 ELD M is an excellent terminal bullet. I shoot them out of my 300 WSM and get great results. Kills from 200-1170 with it and I've been really happy with the wound channels.

I've got some 210 VLDs and 208eldms loaded for mine. Hopefully i can shoot this weekend and I'll report back. They've been pretty easy to find in the last few months.

It depends a lot on how far you plan to shoot. Note: very few bullets are great for close ranges and extended ranges. For my type of hunting, I would look at Nosler Accubond and Partitions of various sizes as well as Barnes LRX for copper which will be a little lighter than the 215 Bergers. My 300 Weatherby Magnum likes 180 Partitions a lot.

Bass gun rack in Missoula, it has the original wood furniture on it. It was my father's gun. Originally cambered in .270 re-barreled to a 30 nosler. I call it the elk gun my dad should have had
