berger 215 hybrid target ammo

I just got a 300wm and it loves the factory berger 215 ammo. I have read that some posts that they are great hunting bullet and some say its to think of a jacket. Anyone care to chime in on this especially if you have taken game with them?

Use em! They kill! Most that have actually used them will agree. Lots of guys who know a ton more then me will agree. I know Broz has kilked plenty with them. That's what our new 300wm builds will be slinging this fall

Jeff, I think you'll find that you can run the 215 not only as fast as you did the 210 but possibly faster with the same pressures. I discovered this in my RUM. I believe it's a combination between a gentler hybrid nose angle entering the rifling and most of all the difference in bearing...

Have complete faith in them! Even the 6.5mm 140gr version kills flat out awesome!

Check out Broz at longrangehunting and longrangeonly. He has a huge post on LRH abt the 215 berger for hunting. My personal experience is its a badass bullet.

No worries. Literally have been there for dozens upon dozens of elk kills with the 215 from 100 yards to 1000. No tracking required.

I shot my elk this last year with them at 130 yards. The bullet broke the opposite lower shoulder and the insides were mush. The elk went 20 yards, maybe. I did find the bullet and it was about half its original size. I was skeptical shooting under 200 yards but they performed well.

I've shot a few deer with 200gr hybrids all pass through with vaporized internals

I have used the 215 in WSM, WM and now PRC....if I do my part is a bang-flop!
