I’d put 150rd through that barrel before you really start load development, my 300wsm gained almost 150ft/s once it was really broken in. You may not see the increase I had but you’ll see something.
Correct, real load development doesn't start until around 100-150 rounds. By that time the barrel is broken in and your lands have probably moved about .012" anyway.

It’s possible that could be your low velocity node, that does seem slow to me.

How does your case fill look? You have a lot of up and down velocity swings? What primers are you using?

Potentially, but that goes all the way up to 77g - I would think I would have to be nearing the top

Case appears to be fairly full and I am using CCI250LRM primers.

At this point, I might just keep trying to adjust my seating depth until I find what shoots accurately and run with it - with the supply shortage, hard to lose sleep over 150 fps - if I could find readily available supplies, I would not care at all

I think Broz and Furman from LRO have both discussed 300 win and 215 bergers settling in around 2900fps as a sweet spot.

I luckily have some of the berger loaded 215s for my 300 win, and they are averaging 2863fps with 5fps sd out of a 26” barrel. I wish I could get berger to tell me what their recipe was.

RIGHT. I have heard from numerous people those Berger loaded 215's shoot lights out. But they won't release what was in them lol

I must have a super fast barrel

I’m at 3050 with 76.5 gr of H1000.

HCA carbon barrel, 26” with a 4 port beast brake. Custom throated by HCA for 215’s tho, don’t know how much difference that can make.

FWIW, I am getting 2950fps out of a suppressed 26" browning X-Bolt loaded with a 212gr bullet and 76.1gr H1000... about 4500' above sea level

Most people are in the 2950-3000 range. If you go to LRO and look at 300 win mag load "sticky" you'll see most people are 2950+, and a few are over 3000.

I keep mine right around 2985, but I did find a decent load that was pushing 3020 but it wasn't quite as accurate as the lower node.

Mine out of a 300wsm and a 26” barrel are at 2963ft/s and devastating close and long.

Is that with their new carbon barrel using the benchmark steel?

Okay. I just ordered a new Benchmark Carbon 26” that I’m going to chamber in 300 win mag with the 215 Berger’s. Supposedly they are the same liner just HCA does their own carbon wrap on it. Should have similar results hopefully. 1:10 or 1:9 twist?

You sure your chrono is correct ? If it's a magneto are the settings right? Definitely seems slow. If your hunting closer ranges that lower velocity is a good thing in my experience as far as terminal performance goes , if your shooting long then obviously you want that missing velocity back .

What velocity is everyone getting from Berger 215's with H1000? I seem to have a node at 75gr, but doesn't 2,704 seem low for 75gr of H1000? My Highlander has a 24 inch barrel. Could I just have a slow batch of H1000?
First, what chrono are you using?

Second , Broz is getting those high speed , generally with 28" Broughton barrels that are know to be fast and usually with a custom reamer. So not exactly the same.

Yeah, hbn bullet coating Broz uses should give a small increase in velocity once the barrel has been seasoned from shooting also. I have no idea how much tho?

I don't wanna sound like a negative Nancy, but a slightly sticky bolt lift IS a sign of pressure. In relation to post #3.

A person as a knowledgeable loader in good conscience cannot say there are no signs of pressure - and follow it up with "maybe" there's a slightly sticky bolt lift. Absolutely a pressure sign! I'm fairly new around here but when it comes to safety I guess I'm old-school.
