All bullets fail to meet every hunters’ expectations.

There is no “best” since everyone’s needs and desires are different.

I have one 6.5 CM that loves 129 gr ABLR. I have another 6.5 CM that shoots both 153 gr ELD-X and 147 gr ELD-M equally well. I have a 6.5 PRC that shoots 147 gr ELD-M exceptionally well with the 156 gr Berger very well.

What size game and at what distances are you wanting to hunt?

HI, I used the 143gr ELDX on a Bull Elk and worked great, 1-round, double lung, went 40-yards and DRT.

I've never used that bullet on Deer and I have not doubt it would work great. For deer I Use Factory Loaded Federal Fusion at 140 gr. The Fusion Bullet is pretty much an all around great bullet for deer sized game and if it was all I had would have no problem for an Elk or Moose as well. Of course with good shot placement. If a person can do a Double Lung on an animal, their dead walking and don't know it yet.

I'd shoot anything on this continent short of a coastal grizzly with the 140 berger, or the 140 accubond.

White tail size game out to 600 yds ( that’s a very rare shot but the land I hunt it is possible ) 300 yds will be more common

Do you load your own? Your options are going to be much more limited if you don’t. That and finding a box of 140 elite hunters or 143 eldx is about impossible right now

I have used the 143 on one elk and 5 deer, currently using the 147 eldm on deer. No problems with either bullets.

Two deer and two elk with 142 accubond long-range. The deer died where they stood. The elk both took two shots, neither went far.

I've got 143 eld-x, 130 tmk, and 130 lehigh to try out.

I'm a Berger fan. The 140s are a proven performer. If you want to go to the fringes there is the 156 Elite Hunter. I shot one whitetail with them last fall and was very impressed with terminal performance.

I also shot 2 deer with the 130 TMK last fall. They are a nasty bullet. Very quick kills and a lot of damage, although both shots were under 100 yds.

Good to know. I haven't seen anything specificly about them

After reading the .223 thread, I figured they were worth checking out.

The 130 Accubond has been my huckleberry. It's done well for me in the 6.5CM, 6.5x284, and 6.5x257Wthby.
