I have a Savage 111 with a Redfield scope, the accuracy is very good. Shot my elk at 255 yards and a whitetail at 75 yards. Both down with one shot.

I have a TC Compass. Think I paid about $230 for it after rebate.

I reload and can consistently shoot 3 shot groups on 1” at 100 yards.

I got a stainless/zytel Ruger M77 Mark ii in 338wm with a cheap Bushnell scope and a decent case for $400 at a pawn shop about 15 years ago. Had a gunsmith lighten up the trigger for about $50 and put a better scope on it and it is sub moa. Love it except for the fact that it weighs 9.5#.

Everybodys definition of cheap is different . Some people think my stock rem 700 are cheap and it makes them mad when they shoot as well as their $4500 rifle. But my TC compass shoots as good as any and at $280 its awesome.

Kentucky Gun Company has the best budget rifle deal going right now. You can get the new for 2020 TC Compass II with the gen 2 trigger, topped with a Vortex Crossfire 3-9x40mm Crossfire II Scope, for $396.

That’s $350 gun, with the best in class trigger, tri-lug 60 degree angle bolt, free floated barrel, 3 position safety, 5 round flush magazine and an MOA guarantee, topped with a $200 glass from an industry leader, all for less than $400.

Crazy good deal for a newbie, a child, or someone looking for a truck gun or a backup. Heck this would make a helluva primary whitetail setup.
