If my memory is accurate The gunwerks is built on a 700 clone and fierce are but on a sako clone action
That is correct but based on the stock they look very similar. I don’t think you can go wrong with a 70° bolt throw and an extra bullet in the mag!

How long you shooting? Kimber Adirondack is still my favorite shorter range rifle.

NULA's are great, used ones are hard to find, but a new one is only about $3500. Melvin is great to work with... just be prepared for a possible long wait.

On a budget I'd say the Tikka SuperLite would be a good choice. I just bought one in 300WSM and it's just a little over 6lbs and that's with a 24in pipe. I'm going to have it shortened up to around 21-22 inches so it'll probably be right at 6lbs maybe even a little under when I'm done.

Tikka T3 with an aftermarket stock is a pretty bomproof set up and leaves extra for optic. Next choice would be one of the bergara premier series or a seekins.

If you get a good one, the Kimber Mountain Ascent has no competition. An honest sub 5# gun in short action. Love my .308
