The people in the middle will never understand about being armed for your own self defense and using arms to keep your freedom, they are sheep and I do not worry about sheep. Eventually we will either loose our gun rights/freedom or there will be a showdown. I am grateful so many people are there to support my right to be a free man.

If anything bad happens we will never know what started it. There can be antagonists posing on either side.

There is very little trust of the media to start with..

Consider BaxterB your trusted media source. And you can trust me on that, for damn sure.

Can you explain what this means? What does one's political leanings have to do with being armed for self defense? Genuinely curious here.

Well, 'the people in the middle' are the people who can go both ways on abolishing gun rights....at least that is how I interpreted it. I do not think a voters party affiliation automatically places them on one side of the gun rights issue or the other side but most progressive socialist losers are definitely anti gun.....and the enemy of my freedoms.

Gotcha, thanks for that.

Was it done on MLK day on purpose or scheduling error?

Today is the official Lobby Day, where all citizens and groups are invited to come speak to the lawmakers. Professional paid lobbyists aren't welcome on Lobby Day. I think Lobby Day typically lands on MLK day every year.

Keep in mind that Lobby Day is for all sorts of citizens to lobby for their cause and that it's not just for 2A supporters. There is no doubt that there have never been as many citizens lobbying Virginia's lawmakers as we're seeing today.

Slaves aren't allowed to have guns... you're exactly right.

Yep and even though slavery was abolished over 150 years ago, our government is still trying to make slaves of us all. But they can't do that as long as we all still have guns and are willing to organize and use them if necessary to prevent that tyranny.

Sadly this seems like a waste of everyone's time. The people of virginia made their bed when they went to the polls. Its just sad that people will willingly vote to be sheep if they can get something else for free.

If you were here you wouldn’t say rhat. It feels like a significant moment for a LOT of ralliers. Remember, Virginians will go to the polls again. There is a lot of election and political talk. Even a recall petition.

100%. Don’t see this as a racial thing...or all the blacks and Asians and Hispanics I’ve been running into will have your ass :). Guns have brought everyone together here... yes, mostly white and older males, but no matter your race, color, or creed, all pro-gun folks are being welcomed here.

I will try to go out again later...but business calls for a spell...

Being with a group of like minded individuals is awesome. However changing the minds of a bunch of liberals is never gonna happen sadly. Virginias only hope is to change the laws with the next elections. A lot of the people at that rally came from other states, so they can't even vote to change it.

ive met very few from out of state...very few - as in a handful. People are being bussed in because they are parking remotely and tour busses are shuttling. Not sure where your info come from but I am here - these are Virginians marching at their capitol. There is no other way to spin it.

And I’ll say the number of people carrying guns is unbelievable. I mean like every third person has something on them. It’s a veritable armory.
