On the way to Estes Park on Saturday, me and my wife had an awesome thrill watching several big horn rams spar in a steep roadside park. I've never seen so many together and only seen them butt heads like this on NatGeo. There was a mix of juveniles and a few big full curl rams. There was a herd of around a dozen ewes and lambs about 75 yards to the right of this. Unfortunately I can't post the .mov file to show them in action, but here are a couple pics. Apologies for quality, they are cell phone pics.

That Big Thompson herd is fantastic to watch!

It was incredible. The rut must be on, because the biggest, baddest ram eventually worked his way over to the ewes and scent checked several of them. They could care less about the people standing there stupified watching them.
