Bino Doubler

Anyone use a bino doubler to check targets at the range 400-500 yards?
I just picked up Maven C1 10x42 I was thinking of buying a vortex doubler just to bring alone to range so I can check targets further out.
I know you lose brightness and clarity but has anyone tried this? will it work?

If you're just checking targets with a steady rest it would probably work just fine. If you're going to try and off hand it I wouldn't recommend it.
But if you want to try it I may have 1 for sale.

Get a phoneskope and use the camera on your phone to zoom.
