Black Bear near the Tanana (AK)

RokSliders, I have been on a float hunt down the Chatanika (Lower Camp to Murphy dome road ext). I have hunted the chicken hills as well as the hills south east of circle hot springs. In numerous adventures I have not come across any black bears just grizzlies. I don't have the time to drive down to the south east of alaska and was wondering if anyone knows good black bear hot spots north of the Tanana River?

Hey, I’d be surprised if anyone jumps at giving up their beloved BB spots… what I will say is they are out there you just have to be consistent to find them… get outta of town and out off the roads a ways they aren’t huge fans of people and pressure so hunting the road systems gives you the same odds as everyone else doing it.

There's black bears taken north of Delta every year but grizzlies are numerous also. Do us all a favor and take a grizzly or two.
