Considering the Beta Light for September Archery Elk hunt in Co with the wife. At 19oz and $200, it seems like the best bang for the buck and would save 28oz. over our river trekker 2.2. The wife isn't crazy about a floorless, but she doesn't want to drop the money for a Zpacks Duplex either.
We don't really care for the poles inside the tent and I'm wondering if this tent can be held up with lines from the top vs using the poles? Assuming there are trees in the area we camp that would work out... It looks like there are loops in the pictures, but I'd like confirmation if someone has done this and how it worked out? We'd still have our trekking poles in case we needed them.
Also, does anyone have a flootprint or tarp they recommend with this shelter? We'll probably go without one, but want options to consider.
