Black Diamond trail Ergo poles and shelter?

So I’m not set on which shelter I’ll go with but I intend to carry a shade/spike type tarp in my day pack also. I searched and only saw 1 mention of any ergonomic poles with shelters.
Does anyone have first hand experience with these poles as shelter supports? Would I be better off just going with straight poles?

Been using black diamond ergo corks for years as shelter supports on my seek outside shelters. No different than my brothers straight poles that I can speak to

Yea, I ran them forever. They are fine, it makes no difference
