Hey folks somebody was offering to trade me a black tail Colombian longbow didn't know if anybody had experience with them.
It's a 64" #45@28" bow. I'm 6'3" draw 31" and want something about 48-50#at my draw

Haven't shot one but they sure are pretty bows. I'd guess a 31" draw will put you over 50lbs.

Very nice bows. I think it may be a bit short for you if your draw is an actual 31"...
A 64" bow will be fine at 31 inches. I have a friend with a 33" draw that shoots a 64" RER with no problem. As far as weight, figure 3# per inch over 28" so that should put you around 54# @ 31.

I have two of his original designed longbows made over 20 years ago. Looks nothing like his current design. Norm Johnson makes very nice bows and has been doing it for awhile.

Gotcha I was thinking it was lower than #3 power inch over 28". #50 is about my Max to shoot the way I want to, with control.

Depends on the design of the bow right? A 64" HH I would definitely not want to shoot at 31", but a 64" Toelke SS would be more than fine. I would want to be sure is all.

You might experience some stacking before 31 with that bow depending on how old it is.
