I have become pretty well versed in overlays in GE, but cannot find or figure out how to get BLM roads. Ideally, I am looking for something similar to the USFS roads and trails overlay.

Am I missing something or does it not exist?

Are you looking for legal access? If so, I would not trust Google for that information.

I’m looking for a BLM MKZ/KML file like USFS and others have so the data source is the governing agency. It is just overlaid on Google Earth imagery.

It is out there. Not on GE though. Have to download or import the correct laters From the right sources into GE.

I messed with this yesterday and was able to get the BLM roads as a GAIA importable map file.

I downloaded the KMZ file, converted it to a ESRI shapefile with QGIS Desktop (free), then used Mapbox (free) to turn it into a link to import as a Gaia map source. Worked pretty dang well and a nice backup for some of the BLM roads that aren't on other maps.

If anyone needs help doing this, feel free to PM me.
