Went again late yesterday afternoon with my son. Mixed up Cottontail distress and Bobcat in heat for about 45 minutes down on a river swamp. Hunted till dark. No takers. LOTS of cat tracks in those sandy washes.

Have you had any luck with cat in heat?

I've only made about 3 sets so far. I'm really surprised that cat in heat hasn't pulled one in. Sounds REALLY good.
Maybe too early yet, I hear they come in around Jan/Feb. here.
Gonna keep at it though.

Did you weight that one Block?

I did not,, but it was slightly smaller than my 42# cat I killed on Christmas night 2 years ago.. probably 35ish .. last nights was prolly just a better camera angle as they look pretty similar in these pix.. here’s the 42#

6.8 miles on my boots today and not a single bob track. Drove 60 miles each way. Tomorrow im hunting locally. Plenty of bobs right here in my neighborhood. First calling attempt will be on my own property. Had a cougar in my back yard on the 10th and 11th, 30 or 40 yards from my porch, my luck thats what will come to the call because i have no cougar tag. Heres a couple pics of the back yard cat. You can see my house in the background.12100140-800x449.JPG12100137-800x449.JPG12110261-800x449.JPG12110277-800x449.JPG12110280-800x449.JPG
