bolt modifications for 270wsm to 6.8 Western

If the 6.8 Western is a shortened 270wsm catridge, does anything need to be done to the bolt other than rebarreling a 270wsm donor gun?

does the bolt need to be longer, or is all that taken care of when a smith chambers the new barrel?

Just a new barrel and rechamber is all. If there's enough shank on your current 270 WSM barrel they may even be able to set it back and rechamber that but I always like to start fresh with a new barrel.
