Boots with sole not as stiff as Nevadas

I currently have Crispi Nevadas. I've had them for a few years, but never really wore them for an extended amount of time in terrain until last week. I noticed the balls of my feet were hurting after a couple days, and pretty sore now after a week of hunting in hilly terrain. Didn't have this problem while wearing them on flat ground.

The soles always felt stiff, I'm just wondering if that could be my problem and maybe I need a bit more flex?

What non insulated gore tex boot is out there that slightly less stiff than a Nevada, and preferably taller? I'm seeing that I really don't like the shorter boots either. Would like the ankle support of a taller boot if at all possible.

If I have any of this wrong on what I think is the problem, feel free to school me. I'm not a boot aficionado by any means.

I have crispi Wyoming which should be the same stiffness as the Nevada and a pair of schnees bear tooth. The flex on the bear tooth is softer and I do prefer it more
