Boundary Waters Bear Hunt

Has anyone on this forum ever drawn a Minnesota Boundary Waters bear tag? There was a post about two years ago about this but I can't find it. Curious what the takeaway was, baiting thoughts or the experience in general. Thanks.

with out bait it would be mighty tough.

I haven’t drawn it, but I’ve only tried 1x. I know a few people that have done it without success.

Baiting isn’t allowed up there, at least it wasn’t the last I checked. They recommend burning honey and whatnot as a baiting method

I haven't been through Tenstrike in years .....any thing left of it?

It seems like easier places to hunt bears but perhaps you drew a certain tag.

Sawmill, bar, church, and museum. Oh and a lake.

To the other part of you post, the state has made it hard to draw tags, 3-4 years for many areas, the BW tags are a little easier to draw. I think it would be a great time but a challenge.
