My oldest is 11 and obsessed with the outdoors. . . Any evening we let him he rides his bike to a pond in our town and fishes for a couple hours. Yesterday he had a pretty good day for a little city pond.IMG_20210820_183845700_HDR.jpgIMG_20210820_184116675.jpg

I had to come give some assistance on the turtle. . . Had to tell in the picture but it's a spiny softshell, actually a pretty cool turtle with a soft leathery top shell.

I've caught tons of fish, including fish bigger than me but lately I find myself quite content to just be a spectator and watch.

Got this last Monday, I got home from work in the morning, dropped the kids off at the bus and decided to steam out to fish the tide. I put out a couple baits, took a nap and woke up to the rod going off. I had an opportunity to stick him after 20 minutes if I had another person on the boat but it was to much alone. I ended up getting a good shot on him after about 35-40 minutes in. A couple buddy’s hopped on and help me load it up. It was 100 inches and dressed out no head or tail at 480.

Wow! So did you sell that fish? If not, do you process it?
