There is no way on earth that I would break into long range shooting by building a custom rifle.

What you need is a Tikka 6.5, an SWFA, and a 4 digit round count.

Buy something that shoots well but doesn't cost a fortune until you have sufficient time at longer ranges.

Then, if it was me, I'd be looking at getting a defiance or lone peak action and sending it to Mike at Hells Canyon Armory. Have him chamber it for his 300 HCA....sending Berger 230 at 3200fps, absolute hammer! Or grab one of those actions, a carbon six or bartlein, good stock, and send it to a reputable smith.
