So I will be receiving the Hoffman double insulated guide boots this week. And I always like to break in my boots properly before a hunt. This hunt will be in late Oct/early Nov.

I have worn hunting boots with insulation like crispis and danners during the heat and thought nothing of it. I also am that guy that wears them to the gym and workouts in them if I am not getting enough hike time.

I plan to break these pac boots in but I will definitely not be wearing 14 in boots to the gym or with a pair of shorts in Maryland humidity and 100 degree heat. Besides wearing them around the house is there anyway to break them in? I will be applying some obernaufs to the boots

I dont think there are any secret ways of doing it. Wearing them is the only way. I would try and get up super early in the morning and do walks around the neighborhood or do late at night. I would wear the lightest wool sock you can find doing this. Possible a wool liner sock.
