I recently bought a 1975 Model 70 30-06 for my dad off gun broker. Unfortunately the stock was broken in transit. The bottom corner of the butt to the sling pin sheared off. I called Winchester and they suggested Midwest Gun Works in Missouri. Does anyone have experience with this company? Or does anyone have a better option?

Im in Boise, Idaho and would love to use someone local if I could!
Thanks

That sucks but it looks like a clean break that should make for a not very noticeable repair once complete. Pre64win.com does stock repairs and have pricing on their website to give you an idea.

I’d just do it yourself. Pull off the butt plate, remove the stud, and use use a quality wood glue and lightly clamp. Use some blue painters tape along the crack to keep excess glue off the finish.
