Brown bear advice?

Think Kodiak!....same same.

The biggest bears I’ve seen were from the peninsula.

Edit: most of the biggest….the largest one I’ve seen was on unimak island.

There is something primordial being in the presence of a really big bear. A six or seven footer typically garner a “that’s a big bear” comment from my clients. An 8 footer is an OMG response. When you get close to a true 10 footer instinct buried deep in your brain kick in. When you see a giant you will know what I’m talking about.
biggest bear I ever saw was in Katmai NP. The track was nearly a foot wide. We marveled at the size of the track then he stood up from his bed in the tall grass. Wouldn’t have been surprised by an 11 foot measurement. Amazing animal, be patient and enjoy the hunt.
