A Winchester 1895TD in 405 Winchester is a helluva lot better. So is a model 71 carbine in .348 Winchester. I had a Browning BLR in 308.....a brand new one in the box from 1972. Sold it about 4 years ago. My buddy had one just like it when we were about 18 in 1978...most accurate levergun I ever saw. Made in Finland back then. I like all lever guns though.

They just recently had two 7-08's available in the BLR takedown if that's what you were interested in
