Hello All, I will be upgrading my Binos and rangefinder soon. Right now I have a cheap bushnell sportsman combo that honestly were a waste of money but a gift. I plan on keeping the bushnell Rangefinder in my golf bag and purchasing something new with more features for archery. My budget is $200-300 as I’m planning to spend the majority on my Binoculars. Any Suggestions? Currently Interested in the Leupold 1400i

Have leupold RX 1000i lightly used and the display died which is a known issue apparently, giving vortex a shot at least if it dies they will replace it.

I’m assuming that it died after the 2 year warranty

I used a redfield for a lot of years. Gray to 500 yds. Good luck with budget suggestions on here tho!

I bought a Vortex 1000 five years ago and couldn’t be happier. I use it bow hunting as well as out west. It has ranged animals as far out as 800 yards several times. The only gripe I have with it is the display is too bright at dusky dark and floods out the vision of the animal. I replaced the battery this year before going on a mule deer hunt in Wyoming just in case. Compact and has been reliable. I would buy another.

I’d bump the budget up to $400 and get the Maven RF. It’s the sweet spot for great glass, great warranty, and functional design

I got a Vortex 1800 a couple years ago and it's a piece of junk. Under perfect conditions it's lucky to range 500 yards. Anything slightly less than perfect conditions and 200 yards is about it. Works fine for archery.

Thats a solid buy. I've had the 1400 bdx for a couple years now and love it. Says it's supposed to range up to 1600 but I can only get 1200 which doesn't really bother me too much. Super light, small package, and really fast with the ranges.

I bought a vortex ranger 1000 in 2015. I would not suggest it. Slow to range and very inconsistent in how far it will range. 400 if your lucky usually.
