I am very interested in the Buffalo Bore 7mm Rem Mag, 140 grain TTSX, at an advertised 3350 fps. The BB website has a good write up on it but beyond that, I'm not finding much other info. Does anyone have experience with this ammunition they would care to share?

Thanks!

Bumping this for reviews. Saw this today as well researching rifles, saw this through a search on Rokslide. I assume they're just loaded to near max book specs and not some unheard of performance?

Anyone tried them or loaded their own to near same ballistics?

From BB website;

PREMIUM 7MM REMINGTON MAG SUPERCHARGED
140 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip @ 3,350 fps/ME 3,488 ft lbs

Below you can see what velocities my real world rifles are producing with this load.

➤ 3,230 fps -- Ruger M77, 24-inch
➤ 3,251 fps -- Rifles, Inc., 23-inch
➤ 3,214 fps -- Remington M700, 24-inch
➤ 3,137 fps -- Remington M700, 21.5-inch

Don’t know much about them.
However the Nosler Ballistic tip is a fast expander. Pushed at those velocities it’s going to explode

I use a load straight from Barnes with the 140 in mine at 3170. I used to push a 162 Amax at 3200 with R22. 3350 seems easily attainable with the 140 and the right powder.

Giving the old post a bump. I’m still interested if anyone has experience with this ammunition.

No experience with this loaded ammunition but I have a load of the 140 ttsx in my 7RM (3100)..probably could push them faster but no pressure signs.

So far I’ve only killed two antelope with it. But I am really impressed with terminal performance and they don’t cause excessive bloodshot damage.

Sorry it’s not answering your specific question, but this is a wonderful load to consider and would shoot elk with in and have no concerns.

No but there is an easy way to see how they do in your rifle.

Very true, I considered ordering a box to play with, but at $92 each and I thought it might be worth a post asking for feedback first. I have loaded 140 grain TTSX to 3100 and shot factory ammunition at 3100, both with good results. The extra velocity with this ammunition is intriguing and I’m interested in any real world experience with running 140 grain TTSX at 3350 in a 7RM. I am familiar with the adage, if you want 7mm Weatherby velocities you should buy a 7mm Weatherby but I thought someone on here might have tried this BB load and could humor me.

I can’t speak for the 7rem mag, but I buy quite a bit of his 30’06 and 35 whelen, both loaded with the Barnes bullet. Since I order quite a bit of it, I guess I like it. Especially the 35 cal stuff.
