Bugs in the high country

Is this an issue when you get to mid Sept? Here in MO the bugs are out til mid/late Oct, so what can I expect when going out west in Sept. Will I need to bring my Thermacell or leave it?

I haven't had a bug issue in early Sep on but in early Aug I have almost been carried away by them in CO. No need for the thermacell that time of the year.

Should not be bad unless its been hot. By the way - thermacells are great but are very hard to get lit when your above 9000 or 10000ft
