Burning a barrel

I purchased a Christian Arms .300 winmag.
Doing my barrel break in and following there guidelines. My question is how many rounds can you fire sadly in let’s say a hour.
Obviously the barrel gets hot. After 3 shots, shooting every few mins you have a heat waves creating a mirage.
Out side temp is around 100 degrees.

So in a hr session at the range how many rounds can you shoot.
Also trying to build a load for this rifle?
I tried a few loads of noslar 220g with terrible results
200g Noslers shot better
I wanted to shoot 220 for a moose hunt but going to try some 185 and other 200g to see what shoots best.

Thanks

I will shoot 3-5 shot groups and wait about 10-15 minutes between groups depending on temp outside. I bring an infrared temp gun with me to range sessions so I can see how much it warms up, and wait until it comes back down to the same temp before shooting my next string. I also use a chamber flag made by BarrelCool that has a fan that blows air down the bore and helps cool the barrel and shortens the time I have to wait before shooting again. Hope this is helpful.
