I already have alot of the stuff i would get with no budget! My plan is to get it all while im single :) much easier that way!

I wouldnt mind

The new zeiss binos, and a few zeiss spotters. Along with a nice camera for digiscoping and zeiss rangefinder. Im a big fan of zeiss glass.

I will be fully setup with KUIU by fall, so that covers that. More arcteryx for times when camo isnt such a big deal.

Kifaru sleeping bag, maybe a nicer WM windstopper bag for a down option.

More kifaru shelters and stoves

A T3, already have a 1. Shoot no budget throw any sized KU pack in the mix as well.

A man can never have too many pairs of boots, my feet love lowa boots, i woudnt mind a few other options, the ranger, one of thier non goretex ones.

I do need a nice watch yet.

Iv got a question for you aron, is there anything out there that you wish YOU had? seems like youv got it all!

For me personally,

Optics: Either Swaros or Zeiss, binos and an 85mm spotter
Tripod: not sure, haven't researched them enough, as its not too high on my list
Clothes: Chugach Raingear and Merino for everything else, figure Im gonna have only enough weight for 2-3 pairs and over a month anything else is gonna stank!
Bag: Top of the line 10-20 degree bag, again not sure of the brands out there
Pack: Whatever the largest size Kifaru offers, gonna need all the space you can get if you're gone for a month
Boots: Whatever top of the line fits best, it will be all leather, and have moderate insulation a good middle ground for stalking and sitting to glass
Bow: Probably a hoyt carbon
Rifle: Gunwerks LR1000 system in 300 RUM

If you had an endless budget, what would you but for backpacking gear if you had to head out tomorrow and live for the next month with what's on your back?

Optics - Swaro or Ziess RF Binos

Tripod - Don't know =)

Tent - Hilleberg

Bag - Marmot

Clothing - Kuiu

Backpack - Kifaru

Bow - Bowtech CPXL (oh wait =)

Rifle - I love my Sendero .300 RUM but I'm sure there are some custom guns out there that would blow it away.

and whatever else you could think of!

I'm looking for the names of companies, but feel free to list specific items as well.

See notes above.

I know it isn't on Arons initial list of topics, but unless everyone here is going to just eat meat on a stick cooked over a campfire I think we need to add how we will cook our food to the list. Since it is for 30 days you probably don't want to take a gas/fuel stove with you, but a pot to boil water and a pan to cook food in over a campfire would probably be a good idea.

ENDLESS BUDGET!!!! THE DREAM!!!

Optics -- Zeiss or Swaros ( I can't wait to see the new Zeiss HF )

Tripod -- I have been playing with the Manfrotto's but also like the Sliks

Tent -- Kifaru Sawtooth or Hilleberg Atko is what I am down to choosing between

Bag -- goose fill down nothing under 800 personally ( I sleep cold ).

Clothing -- MERINO WOOL all the way (FIRST LITE and KUIU)

Backpack -- Kifaru KU5200, T2 KUIU Icon 6000 playing with a TZ6000 right now ;)

Bow -- Hoyt CARBONS!!!!

Rifle -- Remington model 700 action in .308 with a Hart OR Lilja barrel fluted with a muzzle break. In a Macmillan stock. Zeiss scope. Glass bedded.

Love my SOTO stove I bought last year that would stay with me. I love my Lowa ZEPHYRs for hunting Mulies in KS but the L&S Mtn GTXs are VERY APPEALING!

Optics: Swaro modular spotter, Swaro or Zeiss 10x30 and 10x42 bins

Tripod Gitzo with white fluid

Tent Several... base camp and winter with a pulk: Arctic Oven, Kifaru Tipi w/ stove, happy with my SL5/3 combo for most stuff.. that said stevenson warmlite, and dozens of others would be tempting... I love tents!

Bag: Western Mountaineering

Clothing: Good with my mixed bag but would probably buy the whole Kuiu line. Really impressed with the chugach rain jacket

Backpack: Dan McHale custom INEX in full Dyneema (own and LOVE this pack!)

Rifle: I am happy with my kimber 84L 280AI but I would still get a NULA in 280 AI ;)

I'm scared of what I already have, but I'd second the sherpa. That would be a really neat idea. If really no budget, I would permanently hire several of the guides that I have had on previous hunting trips. Damn, they are good and a lot of fun to be around. Other than a tent and over the top gun, I'm pretty well set. KUIU does have my credit card number and Kifaru will shortly. Buy enough stuff from the Outdoorsmans that they should also.

First, I would extend the trip from 1 month to 1 year.

For material things, assuming that you are picking up the tab, I would pack:

Optics - Swaro EL 12x50s (SV)

Camera - Canon SX50 (for weight savings over DSLR's)

Tripod - Outdoorsmans Tall Tripod and Pistol Grip

Tent - Terra Nova Solar Photon 2

Bag - Western Mountaineering ExtremeLite

Clothing - Kuiu stuff

Backpack - Kuiu Icon 5000

Bow - Hoyt Carbon Element G3

Rifle - Remington 6.5x47 Lapua Ultralight

Range Finder - Vortex's newer pocket rocket

Boots - Zamberlan Steep GT's

Other Creature Comforts - Generic butt pad, 70SPF sunscreen
