Cabela’s Alaknak Tent Repair

Hello, this forum was suggested to me by a guy at work.
I recently bought a Cabela’s Alaknak 12x20 tent for $300. However, there is this 24” tear. The seam to the left of the rear is the peek of the tent. I am looking for suggestions to fix it. I’m thinking about using Tear-Aid Fabric Repair Type A.
However, I live in the thumb area in Michigan and thought about trying a few canvas places.
The material is a polyester oxford blend.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Go to Home Depot and buy a canvas paint tarp cut into the measurements you need to glue one on the inside and on the outside.

This stuff works.

Used it to install a stove jack in a Kodiak Canvas - no sewing.

I would see about getting a patch of similar material. Might call cabelas. Glue it on from the inside and have it sewn on then seam seal the threads like a new tent.

I did this on my pop up camper that a buddy ran a poll through the canvas. Worked great and only noticed the issue up close or from the inside
