Anyone have any experience with the Cabelas Rimrock hiking boots? They seem to be really solid for the price point and a fairly decent all-around hunting boot, but I would like to know if they hold over time.

Less than 20 miles on these. Delaminated 3 hrs down a dry river bed, had to make sandals to get out. Last boots from this company. Rubber rands are usually designed to reinforce the sole to boot connection, look at Lowa, Lathrop, Hanwag etc

I've considered Lowas and Crispis but was hoping I could get a few years out of the Rimrocks while I was in some easier terrain and get the good boots once I move again.

All about the terrain you are hunting, hunted mulies in Wyoming last fall wearing north face trail shoes in arid terrain. For elk in mountainous terrain Lathrop and Sons, if you need to save money do it in the clothing not the boots. My acu camo is invisible to humans in southern Wyoming and New Mexico terrain. Cost $50 on ebay.
