Hey! Just got stationed in San Diego and want to go bear hunting this fall for California’s archery season. Anyone know of where a good region to hunt in SoCal or even up north?
Thanks!

I don't know anything about SoCal, but we've got all the bears you could throw a sharpened stick at up here... pick a place on the map, and you'll find them.

Awesome. Any specific national forest up north you would recommend without infringing on your go to spots haha

Take a drive up north, bears are prevalent. Tons in the B, C, D. Meanwhile in SD, Pizzeria Luigi for some crime scene. You're welcome 😁

Closest to you probably = D14, San Bernardino Mtns. Big Bear City.
D8 = large unit bears almost everywhere. From Kernville North. Find water and berries. Screes/rock slides - they will b flipping rocks looking for insects.
