Yup, first… the big black one that escaped will forever be the one that got away
Basic dumb luck gentlemen… put the wind in my face, climbed a little knob, sat patiently for 30 min, started calling with my fawn bleat and bingo two wolves roamed in at a good clip. Put a fine swinging heart shot on this female and sent a second shot at an already alerted black wolf. He was in full popcorn mode in a dense rainforest patch, clean miss. Then the pack started howling!

Saw a wolf swimming off the mainland one year...open water and waves, blew me away. The island was several miles in the direction it was headed. Crazy fearless determination.

Congrats man. Get any deer?

Negative, it was a small zone typically reserved for deer too. The wolves beat me to it this year.
Last year I got to it first😁
