So I apologize if this was answered elsewhere. I searched and didn't see it.

I was just given a couple trail cameras. They are 10yrs old but were never used. They flash white, and its bright! I'm prepping for my first DIY fall bear hunt and wanted to use them. In testing I have not been able to turn them off.

Will the white flash spook bears off the bait site?

I’ve found it doesn’t really spook game but it will surely make a bear curious and most likely they will mess with your camera. I would mount them in a solid built box for sure.

Ok thanks. I think they may also work as decoy cameras
