I have a Sony a6000 that I have been running the kit lens on 16-50mm. Looking to upgrade the lens and wondering what everyone likes for hunting. I only shoot pictures at this point no video.

Thanks again

Depends on what you want to take pictures of. Scenic/trophy or wildlife or both? I am in the store all day if you
want to give me a call to discuss the options

On my list is a Sony 18-105mm, wish I would’ve bought one already.

I have a Sigma F 1.4 16mm that is super nice, love that lens.

Check out the YouTube channel of TechnologyMafia, he does a ton of great reviews on lenses for the Sony cameras

Also, Joel at Cameraland is excellent to deal with when it comes time to buy the lens!

The 18-135 is a great lens... I have the sigma 16 and 56 as well, but for hunting a zoom is Handy. It's not as good in low light as the sigma's, but still a very good lens.

As a general rule, primes will be better in low light and sharper, but have a fixed focal length. Have to decide if optical quality or convenience is main priority.
