Camp location on drop camp hunt

Which would you favor? I like the idea of being near the river or pond but if the forest is too thick and you can’t see anything does it make more sense to set up camp up high where you can wake up and start calling and glassing? In a perfect world the glassing nob would be close to water to some type of water source
