Why do you like the 8x32 better than the 10x42s?

"Neck glass".... I like that. Well, the old 8x32 EL remains phenomenal glass... for neck or rested...

This is really picky--I have some 8x32 EL's and prefer them based purely on aesthetics. To me, the NL's look like a warthog when looking at a side profile with the attachment points sticking out! lol

I wish I had a pair of NL's to compare to my 8x32 EL's.......just to see. Difficult to drop that coin not truly 'seeing' the difference, if I can truly see the difference.

The NLs and the SFs are just a little too big for me to seriously consider them. My next alpha binoculars will be a pair of 32s, but with the current offerings I'm in no hurry. I can wait until Leica comes out with a new pair, if they ever do.

What’s wrong with the current 32 alphas? Also too long for you?
I have trouble getting a good grip on the small barrels of skinny 32s myself. I love my chunky but short 8x32 Conquests for this reason. That and I can’t see a meaningful difference in image quality side by siding the EL 32.
I do lust for SF or NL in 32 though, despite their length… as I’m a wide FOV fan.

Other than the SFs and NLs the only other current alpha 32 are the Ultravids. I do like the Ultravids - they are small and light like a 32 should be. I do consider getting a pair occasionally, but I'd rather wait for the next generation.

I have considered that. I owned Victory Pockets briefly when they first came out. They’re nice. I Returned them and got CL pockets instead.
The next pair of alphas I buy will be 32s, just waiting on the right ones.

FYI*** There has been some confusion on the FOV of the 8x32 NL, some sites list is as feet @ 1000m while others list it as feet @ 1000yds. The 8x32 sf is 465@1000yds while the 8x32nl is 450@1000yds. Thought that needed some attention!
