Looking for those that have played with either or both. Looking for new sight for bow, and am torn between these two. Everyone’s thoughts? Mainly elk hunting in Wyoming.

I have the canyon pounder and it fits my needs really well, well made. Great for hunting. Multi pin to single config has worked great for me on game in different scenarios.

No experience with the Boonie, but I have always liked the Spott Hog sights I’ve had.

Really depends on your needs canyon is a really well thought out sight great as a single pin but also great as a fixed pin for hunting situations when animals move to or come in at an unexpected yardage and you don't have time to adjust the slider. . Pins are horizontal so there is that if you like vertical better.

For clarity, I've only looked at them in the archery shop. But the canyon pounder is much heavier in my opinion. Spot hogg is already heavier ish, and then the canyon pounder seemed even more so. It's built well, but I have no experience shooting.

I have the Canyon Pounder it's a great sight. It is on the heavier side but I never worry about durability.

I love my boonie. No experience with the canyon pounder, but looked at them before I bought the boonie. I prefer the vertical pins so that influenced my decision quite a bit. Have talked to a few guys at the range who are shooting the canyon pounder and really like it, so as others have said you really can't go wrong with either.

I haven’t used a vertical pin set up in quite a while. I like the visibility of the sight tape on the canyon pounder. Concerned about seeing the sight tape on the dial of the spot Hogg.

I have the CP and I don’t love it. It’s extremely well made but there are some issues for me. The pins are not bright, nope, not at all. The mover pin sits back on a different plane and looks out of alignment on steep angles. The adjustments are a PITA. The adjustment knob is not in a great spot for hunting.
However, it’s very well made and maybe the best drive in the game.

I have zero experience with the canyon pounder but did get a boonie earlier this year. I've had nothing but spot hogg sights for over 20 years, but I love my boonie. Everything i wanted improved from my fast eddie has been. Spot hogg has never let me down.

How is the sight tape to read?

I looked at the dark owl. And they look sweet but I don’t know anyone that has one.

Just sold a Boonie and my son has a CP and I have a Axcell Driver on the way mostly because I have to have a magnifier lense for the sight tape and of the three only Axcell will offer.

I couldn't say anything bad at all on Boonie or CP.

My eyes tell me tougher than it should be but I have started to wear cheaters reading anything in the last 8 months....most of the time I can see it decent and shooting 3d, I flip my rangefinder or binos backward to magnify to make sure I'm dialed nuts on.

I have used both and they are my top 2 sights but I prefer the CP. it truly is an incredible sight. I prefer the adjustments on it, third axis on bubble, horizontal pins and overall the ability to have a true single pin.

I agree totally. Really like it better than the original option sight. Just wasn’t sure if I should try the sh on my new bow or not.

If your spending that kind of money do yourself a favor and look into the driver sight. It's lighter than both and super easy to use.
