Ok, looked it up. Mine are all HG0015 so not part of the recall as I'm seeing it. I think they are just clearing them out as apparently there is a new version coming out.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why not just buy the Nalgene bottle with the small cap?

The small mouth are fine for most things. However, I like the wide mouth because I like to store stuff in the bottle at times. It's also much easier to fill with ice or other stuff. Plus, I already have a bunch of the wide mouth as they are in thrift ships all the time. This just givers you the best of both worlds

Also, if you are using a msr miniworks the wide mouth version screws right on the bottom to make filling a spill free task.
