Cardio before lifting

Cardio is way more important to me, so a few years ago I started doing it first, yeah I lost some strength, but I don’t mind, it’s real important to me that cardio gets my first best effort. I don’t need to get stronger, but better cardio is quite noticeable when hiking at altitude, but I don’t notice additional strength.
