Are you flying in? Or road? Or boat?

Here’s mine:
Hunting clothes. Nothing special just Cabelas microtec pants and a quick dry shirt. Couple of warm layers and down vest and rain gear are must.

Spotting scope (Leupold 15-30)
Binos monarch 7s 8x
Rifle (6.5 cm last year) with vx3 2.5-10
Range finder

Used a tigoat vertex 6.5 as my shelter.
Havalon skinning knife and eastwing axe and Wyoming saw.
Game bags.

I will be flying limited to 125#s
I’ve got essentially everything for a backcountry hunt but mainly looking for caribou specific gear up in the north slope
So redcliff and stove will be our shelter along with a 4 season dome tent

When we went, we brought a duraflame log. Cut it into about a dozen pieces, and used it to start the driftwood sticks that we found in the stove. We also stacked more sticks around the stove to dry out while the first batch cooked.

This was my working list until I hit a grocery store in Fairbanks. Then I added a bunch of food, shouldn't have shopped while hungry. I had more clothes than I needed. This was a float trip, so I didn't have to haul this stuff on my back. Some of the things I brought like the stove and tipi were split among several folks.

Awesome list, thanks. What were the dates of your hunt for clothing references? Also, was the sleeping bag a 0* to comfort or 0* for safety and was it enough or did you get chilly? I know the woobie helps a lot in a bag.

A couple things that I may have just missed, bit I bring when I hunt the lower 48

Bear proof container for food
100 ft of daisy chained paracord
Shoegoo is great for gear repairs
Chapstick is an absolute life saver.

We went in early September, well North of the Arctic Circle. This was a float Hunt so the spare clothes for a guy falling into the river was constantly on our minds as we prepped for it.
As luck would have it, one guy got completely soaked, up to his chin, just stepping out of the raft. He was grateful for a warm place to dry out.

Awesome, what about the sleeping bag? Was the 0* for safety or comfort? And how was that?

Temps got to 5 degrees. alaska is unpredictable, and wood is scarce up there where we were. Figured we were better safe than sorry in that regard. The woobie was awesome for around camp, and for that “it’s too frigging cold this morning” chill.

I was further East, and we were limited to less weight. You need to plan for bugs. Lots of them. deet, head nets, etc.
