Caribou Hunting Chandalar Lake Area

Hey everyone, this is my first post. I'm going with a buddy for a first hunt in Alaska next fall('24). We're planning on a diy caribou hunt and are considering Chandalar Lake area. We'd love to hire a guide or an official transporter but it seems like they're all either well out of our price range or are booked out for the next 5 years. So it looks like we're doing an air taxi and we'll be on our own. Does anyone have any advice about whether this area can be productive or the general timing when caribou begin to move down through the brooks into this area? Thank you for any help
