Just wondering what size difference there tends to be between the different herds in Alaska as far as body size and antler size. Do caribou of the 40 mile herd tend to be bigger body size than western arctic caribou or vice versus or porcupine or central arctic caribou? Or do they tend to be same body size across the state? Antler size as well. Does one herd tend to grow bigger antlers on average or offer better chance at trophy bulls? Thanks for any insight!

The only herd I've noticed any genuine size difference in is the herd on Adak- most likely based on their diet and lack of migration.

Caribou vary quite a bit in body and antler size as a normal part of the species across the state.
