Hello. Ive been a lurker on this forum on and off for a few years.
I have a browning xbolt in 308win that ive been using for the past 20 Years. Its been a Great gun, but i find that my hunting habits have changed and i need a weapon that filla the following criteria.
A) light weight because im traversing Mountains and stalking the fields a lot.
B) long range capabilities and higher stopping power. (i hunt a lot of moose, around 50% of it is driven hunting).
B) left handled operation.

After doing a lot of research ive found 2 alternatives.
1) CA mesa TI in 300 win mag
2) Weatherby backcountry in 300 wby.

The difference between these in price in norway is around 200$

The gun will be outfitted with a magnum silencer and a march 1,5-15x42 scope

Which would you choose and why?

My weatherby in 270 is a killing machine. I have heard several horror stories on the Christianson quality being hit or miss

I've owned a ridgeline and probably wouldn't buy another. definitely wouldn't buy their mesa Ti
the weatherby backcountry Ti would be about the only gun id buy from weatherby but something to think of is the 300 wby comes with a 28" barrel. and if your throwing a can on there its going to be real long.
