Maybe I am being too nit picky or maybe I should just pony up and build a custom but I am wondering if any of you guys have tried to make a custom order through Christensen? I was waffling back and forth between a Kimber Montana or the Ridgeline and the only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger on the Christensen is the 26" barrel. I would like at the longest a 24" just from a maneuverability stand point. They already make 24" .284 barrels for their 7mm-08 and 7mag in the titanium version. In my non-gunsmith mind this should barely, if at all constitute a custom order.
So any experience dealing with Christensen and thoughts on my overthinking of the 280 Ackley.
