Been lurking on this great forum for some time and this is my first post here. I have a couple of questions:
Been looking at Mesas for some time, but can't get over the huge white CHRISTENSON lettering on the bottom metal floorplate. Everything else about the rifles is very eye pleasing. Is this lettering some type of decal that is easily removable? If not, does anyone have an 'easy removal' method for getting rid of this huge lettering?
Also, If I actually purchase this 7mm-08 I am considering, will Talley one-piece lows enable the bolt handle to clear the scope ocular housing of a Leupold vx3i 3.5-10. These scopes have a relatively small diameter ocular housing.
Considering this rifle because my 30 something son is obtaining my present "rain rifle" and I need another. Couldn't bear to take out my blued/wood Sako AV in the pouring rain on opening day of deer season this year. We, therefore, need TWO "rain rifles."
