Cimmaron Half Nest Alternatives

Wondering if there are other options out there that I may be overlooking or if the Half Nest from Seek Outside will be the best choice.

Id be interested in a DCF half nest for my future dcf cimarron, mainly for the wife/kid when they join me. Right now i run a borah gear bivy in my other tipis and love it. Bought it before the dcf version came out so 5 seasons later, its in perfect condition. Never even zipped up the bug screen while sleeping, just while away.

I picked up DCF Solo Innernet Wide from Mountain Laurel Designs. Going to try it in my new DCF Cimarron when it shows up next week.

I am still pretty new to the floorless shelter scene, but I got a Borah Bivy for me to use and then the half nest for the wife and I if she is with me. If just me, the Bivy is really slick and simple.

Bear Paw will make a pretty skookum half nest on request.

Interesting thoughts. I have a cimmaron but agree the half best is too much extra weight. I’ll have to check into these other bivy options.
