Clothing system help

I need recommendations for a system to wear. I am caught between kuiu and first lite. I really like the first lite foundry corrugated pants. I just don’t know what I need for base layers and a jacket. I also need a rain gear system as well. Please help! I’m elk hunting in the Gila in late October and bear hunting in Alaska next year.

Buy both and take advantage of the sales. Kuiu has a decent sale right now on all these garments: Buy their merino baselayer 125 (short sleeve or long sleeve), for mid the StrongFleece 210 or Peloton 200, don’t do Merino for mid layer. Skip the soft shell.

I think First Lite typically has a sale mid August but that might be too late for you. Could pick up Eddie Bauer guide pants, Prana Zions, Wrangler performance Walmart ones, those are all great budget ones.

Buy non hunting brands underwear, rain jacket and puffy. Socks there’s a lot of options, Darn Tough is great.
